4. Automobile power battery supply report released: Ningde times only ranked second
On August 18, according to the report of market research company EV volumes, LG energy solution is the largest power battery provider of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the first half of 2021, and Ningde times ranks second.

5. Yiwei lithium energy won the order of 1GWh energy storage battery in the United States
Recently, foreign media reported that powin energy, an American energy storage system integrator, signed a two-year general supply agreement with Yiwei lithium energy, which will become the battery supplier of powin battery energy storage system (BESS) project.
Powin said that after signing the contract, Yiwei lithium energy will be delivered before this year to provide it with nearly 500mwh energy storage products. In addition, 500mwh of at least the same scale in the second year means that Yiwei lithium energy will supply at least 1GWh of LFP battery for powin.
6. Doubling of H1 small power business of Hengdian dongci
On August 18, Hengdian dongci disclosed its semi annual report. In the first half of 2021, it realized a revenue of 5.691 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 79.36%; The net profit attributable to the parent company was 546 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.9%. Among them, the revenue from lithium battery business was 324 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 96.94%.
Hengdian dongci said that the performance growth of lithium battery is a small power, the market is heating up, and the demand for lithium battery is accelerating. After its cylindrical battery withdrew from the large power market and turned strategically to small power, its business situation has been greatly improved, and the gap between supply and demand is gradually emerging.
7. Twelve lithium battery projects are put into operation "in progress"
It is reported that many projects of 12 enterprises, including AVIC lithium battery, Penghui energy, Hengdian dongci, Lanjun new energy, new Zhoubang, lanketu and anada, have been put into operation or will be put into operation in the near future.
Hengdian dongci: it was announced on August 16 that the project with a total investment of 612 million yuan and an annual output of 148 million high-performance lithium batteries was put into operation, and the total capacity of lithium batteries after full production was about 2.5gwh.
AVIC lithium battery: in early July this year, the 10gwh project of AVIC lithium battery Xiamen phase I project was completed. The project invested 5 billion yuan to build 10gwh capacity. At present, it is in the stage of equipment commissioning, and will be opened and put into operation successively according to the equipment commissioning.
Lanjun new energy: the first phase of the AI intelligent power and energy storage battery factory of Lanjun new energy under Qingshan industry, located in Fengxian District, Shanghai, was officially put into operation in July. The project was officially started in November 2020, with an investment of 390 million yuan. The design annual output of phase I is 1GWh.
Penghui energy: Penghui energy 40135 electrodeless ear battery is expected to be put into operation at the end of September. At present, the production line is in the stage of trial production and commissioning. The customer's order intention is mainly in the fields of energy storage, low-speed electric vehicles and two wheeled vehicles. In addition, the 4gwh square aluminum shell capacity of GP energy is expected to be put into operation in the second half of the year, half of which is used as automobile power battery and half as energy storage battery.
Time GAC: GAC group said on the interactive platform in July that the joint venture plant of GAC and Ningde battery is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2021, mainly responsible for the production and supply of power batteries. The main plant of times GAC was officially capped at the end of last year. The total production capacity of the project is 15gwh, which is constructed in two phases. It is planned to be put into operation in October this year.
Blue lithium core: Blue lithium core said on the interactive platform in August that Zhangjiagang lithium battery phase II project is in the equipment installation stage. At present, it is expected to be put into operation in October, and about 300 million will be added after it is put into operation.
Ganfeng lithium industry: Ganfeng lithium industry said on the investor interaction platform on July 21 that Dongguan Ganfeng 30 million / year full-automatic polymer lithium battery production line was put into operation, and the company's consumer batteries will continue to expand production capacity in the future.
Yiwei lithium energy: it is understood that Yiwei lithium energy supplies Huawei with 3gwh energy storage capacity, which will be put into operation and delivered this year.
Xinzhoubang: xinzhoubang said on the investor interaction platform in July that some projects planned to be put into operation in the second half of this year mainly include Jingmen lithium battery material project (phase I) and Nantong xinzhoubang 25000 ton new electronic chemicals project.
Lanketu: the total investment of lanketu lithium battery diaphragm project is 800 million yuan. At present, the fourth workshop of the project has been successfully put into operation. It is expected that the annual output of each production line will reach 70 million to 100 million square meters of battery diaphragm.
Anada: anada announced in August that the second phase of the 50kt / a battery grade nano iron phosphate expansion project of Tongling Nayuan, a holding subsidiary, has been completed and put into operation recently. The products have been recognized and used by customers, and customers require continuous supply. In the future, it will be further optimized according to the operation of the unit to make the unit reach production as soon as possible. The completion and operation of the project will increase the capacity of iron phosphate of Tongling Nayuan to 50000 tons / year.
Nanshan aluminum: Nanshan aluminum said on the interactive platform on August 16 that leading enterprises in the industry such as Ningde times, BYD and GuoXuan high tech are customers of the company's power battery foil products. The current production of battery foil is converted from the original packaging production line, and the special power battery foil production line with an annual output of 21000 tons is planned to enter the trial production state in September. After the project is completed, the annual output of high-quality power battery foil products can reach at least 30000 tons. 8. Phillips 66, a US oil refining giant, plans to enter the field of electric vehicle batteries on a large scale.
9. In 2025, China's energy storage lithium battery shipment is expected to reach 180gwh
According to the prediction of GGII, by 2025, China's energy storage lithium battery shipment is expected to reach 180gwh, an increase of more than 10 times over the scale in 2020, with a five-year compound growth rate of more than 60%.
In the first half of 2021, the energy storage lithium battery market showed explosive growth, and the global and Chinese shipment scale increased by 80.2% and 101.8% respectively year-on-year. Since 2021, energy storage lithium battery enterprises have generally entered the state of full orders, insufficient capacity and planned significant expansion of production. At the same time, the policy layer defines the independent market position of energy storage and puts forward the installed capacity target of 30GW in 2025.
In addition, the power market-oriented reform is being further promoted, which is conducive to the real formation of the energy storage business model. Power generation side energy storage applications such as new energy consumption will become the market with the largest medium and short-term growth potential. Favorable policies continue, and energy storage is about to usher in an inflection point
Since July 2021, the central ministries and commissions have intensively issued the guidance on accelerating the development of new energy storage (hereinafter referred to as the guidance) and the notice on encouraging renewable energy power generation enterprises to build or purchase peak shaving capacity to increase the scale of grid connection (hereinafter referred to as the notice), and proposed to realize the transformation of new energy storage from the initial stage of commercialization to large-scale development by 2025, The installed capacity will reach more than 30GW, and the comprehensive market-oriented development of new energy storage will be realized by 2030. Under the condition of carbon peak and carbon neutralization, the inflection point of new energy storage is coming.
From the perspective of competition pattern, the energy storage lithium battery market has not yet formed a stable competition pattern.
